Today, at 2 in the morning, my water broke. I called my mom and woke her up to come watch our older kid, while my husband and I went to the hospital. After being tested at the hospital, I was told I had just peed myself. FML

I hope YOU know that the doctors and nurses have all seen and heard it before, and this isn't a unique situation. And the mother was probably fine because she was helping her very pregnant daughter. I also hope you know that the whole FML community is laughing at you for being a complete shitbag.

If you're pregnant, you're guaranteed to pee yourself a lot. Next time check to make sure you didn't just urinate yourself..

I never did but being pregnant does really reduce the time between hmm I need the bathroom and OMFG im going to pee myself.

it's not "free" we all pay for it through taxes and we all pay for basic medical care per month. this thinking costs a lot of money!

i did this when i was pregnant...however i was on the way to the toilet and suspected it was pee, and my mil told me it likely was....otherwise i might have done the same. If you've never experienced pee coming out involuntarily then of course you're going to think the worst when you're heavily pregnant. Also it DID feel the same when my waters broke, only the contractions told me it was for real - someone without contractions wouldn't be sure.

It's okay OP! When I was pregnant with my son I sneezed and wet myself and thought the sneeze broke my water. I panicked too. It's normal.

Every pregnancy is different. Sometimes your water won't break on it's own, and then on your next one it might. Babies even act different from each other while in. And if you space them out, you tend to forget some of the details, or at least I did.

Having a caesarian with your first can take that experience away... Even so, I've had two kids (no c-sections) and with my first, my waters went all in one go. With my second it just kind of went into a slow leak. I thought my pelvic floor was being rubbish but when it kept happening every few minutes, I got checked out and the hospital confirmed it was my waters.
