What the hell, you don't know when your water will break? You get rhythmic contractions hours prior. And when it does break you'd feel painful cramps. Plus you can't tell it's urine??? I don't even plan on being pregnant and I know this.
well its obvious you haven't been pregnant. I had no pains whatsoever and my waters broke in my sleep. After that (at 4:45 am ) i had no contractions at all until about 6 am. I only woke up because I felt the wetness. The fluid that comes out looks like urine unless you manage to catch it in a cup or something and it has an odd smell and tbh to me it smelled a little like urine. It would have been almost impossible for OP to tell for sure.
81, I had to be induced as well. I didn't have any pain for quite a while. 67- I'm so glad you don't plan on having any kids. We don't need more uneducated brats who think they know everything running around. Thank god you don't have any kids.
Same thing happened to me. A day later I started having contractions.
I have three kids. When the third one was born I didn't even know my water broke and almost had her at home and my husband was out of state visiting his mother. The first child I did the same thing as OP.
******* idiot kids on here. Just because you watch 16 and pregnant doesn't mean you're an expert. No you can't tell if you peed or your water breaks. No not every woman has contractions before or after her water breaks. Even tho this was her second pregnancy, every labor is different......
hahah that is so funny. When my wife had kids... she could easily tell the difference between peeing herself and her water breaking. I'm the father of 4. What a disappointment for the entire family on your part. Look on the bright side, now you got a real story to tell your unborn child, when the kid is born, and you know you wont have the pain from labor (yet)! But FYL for having to go to the hospital for that... that would suck.
OP is Canadian so the hospital stay is free. The only part the parents pay for is the circumcision if it's a boy - if they want one done.
pregnant woman = excused. anyone in your shoes would have likely thought the same thing. no worries

you're pregnant. stuff like this is bound to happen. don't beat yourself up over it.
I hope YOU know that the doctors and nurses have all seen and heard it before, and this isn't a unique situation. And the mother was probably fine because she was helping her very pregnant daughter. I also hope you know that the whole FML community is laughing at you for being a complete shitbag.
