Today, at 8:00am, I walked into the kitchen and stubbed my toe. That's quite a normal occurrence, but this time, I stubbed it on my drunk, passed out, 53-year-old father's forehead. He's mad at me now and has cancelled my allowance. I'm 23. FML

My allowance ended at 16 when I got my first job. By the time I was 23 I had served in the military, gotten married, had a child and had been self supporting for five years. Grow up and stop whining.

You're 23...and you're still getting an allowance... Must be nice. @127: Totally agree. My allowance ended when I got a job at 16. I was making more money that way, so I thought it was great.

Why do you have an allowance at 23 years old? You sound like a snobby child. Get a job, and get your own place. You shouldn't depend on daddy for money.
