At my HS graduation one of the speakers had terrible social anxiety but still gave her speech on how far our class had come (she was one of us) and the adults in the crowd started making fun of her, yelling stuff, and blowing airhorns - just overall rude. Finally one of the students got up and yelled at them to "show some damn respect". Sadly not everyone grows up and learns how to act. Get your daughter something nice (like a big ice cream) and tell her all the good things people said about it.
