Today, at my place of work in a fast-food restaurant, a customer called in and bitched at me that her warm food was weirdly cold. That is, after she drove 45 minutes from the restaurant to her house. FML

Some people...... Why did she wait 45min to get home and eat it? She could have eaten it in her car, or gone inside the restaurant and eat it there. Wow

Ugh! I work in fast food too and I deal with the same idiots. I know how you feel OP. Did you explain to her that her food is probably cold because she drove 45 minutes each way to get to, and from, the restaurant? I hope everything works out OP.

When I was a fast food manager I had a customer come in and throw her food at me screaming that it was cold when she got home. She drove a half hour home and then a half hour back to the restaurant just to scream at me

I don't have enough palms to facepalm.

Ugh people are the worst. I work at McDonald's and one time, this lady came in and said last time she got it from us, she got home and it was cold (I mean it's obviously gonna get cold over time it's McDonald's not magic) so she requested us to make her food fresh and she ordered 5 hamburgers and 5 large fries then complained that we were taking too long and she was in a hurry. It's was annoying.

I used to work at McDonalds too. Once, a customer complained that her pancakes were cold, and she demanded new pancakes. After I told the kitchen staff, all they did was put her pancakes in the microwave and hand it back to me, lol. She was happy, because she'll never know! Lol

I feel your pain. I get naive people at the fast food restaurant I work at.

FYL for sure. Some people make no damn sense and just like to bitch. I work in a pizza place and you can tell a carry out customer their order will be ready in 15 min. An hour later they show up and want a new pizza because it's cold. It's totally their fault, but you just have to brush it off and give them what they want. =/

Omg I have the same thing happen to me. I work in a fast food restaurant and it's the only one of its chain left in the state, so people do drive from cities an hour or more away and will call and complain their food is cold when they get home. Luke no shit really?

I don't think that's anything to concern yourself with and probably should have just hung up the phone
