Today, at the awards ceremony at my school, I ended up winning the top achievement award in my grade. The principal spent at least ten minutes talking about my success to the audience, the whole time referring to me as a "he" as I stood right next to him. I'm a girl. FML

Should have just interrupted when he said "he" and simply said "she." The look on his face... :-p

Wow, what a jerk. I'd "accidentally" mistake him for a "Mrs." instead of a "Mr." when I accepted my award. =)

was what he was saying even written down ? cuz it would be messed up if the principle kept saying he when it said she the whole time and its also messed up that your teachers didn't bother to correct him

Noone corrected him??? HARSH! thanks number 25 btw

Aw, I feel your pain! People mistake me for a boy just because I have short hair, but maybe he/she was just reading off of a script and just filling the names in below. But I understand, and just because people mistake you for a boy doesn't mean that you are ugly.
