And then they ask me why I don't like children
Why don't you like children? -They
#25 I wish I could thumb your comment up more than once. :D
Sounds like the new manager wanted to make an egg-sample of you. Hope you didn't get fried too hard. Still, keep up the hard work and maybe another employer will come along and poach you
No.
Super markets are really crap for things like that. Were any other cashier within hearing distance to vouch that you were denied permission to go clean yourself off? You can go to the Labour board or Better Business Beurau if they continue to do stuff like this. Although people get written up for stupid stuff a lot.

Such parenting.
that's unfair...
How the heck did the kid get access to the egg and then was allowed to throw it? I don't see how a responsible parent would have allowed that to happen.
What an asshat
Haha that sucks
I'm a front end supervisor and no matter how busy we were if this happened to one of my cashiers, I'd have found a way to let them clean up. Not only is it embarrassing for you to have to stand there covered in egg, but it also looks bad on the company that 1) It appears they hire sloppy people and 2) They don't care enough about their employees to allow them to go clean up. Either way, not an image you want for your establishment. FYL indeed for them not taking care of their employee and instead punishing you!!!

That's unfair they can't treat employees like that. Call the store owner if that doesn't work try searching for another job just make sure you keep this one until you do. Good luck OP.
I hope the kid's parent told the kid it was a rude thing to do and apologized to you. There's a reason I don't really like kids, mostly because their parents don't really teach them respect and what's right and wrong.
