I am a resident of AMCC housing. Two weeks ago my neighbors washing machine flooded their laundry room and it flooded our living room and kitchen. I have been waiting for two weeks for my house to be returned to somewhat of a safe living environment for my children. I have furniture on 1inch by 1inch blocks. The book shelves are a major crush hazard placed in middle of the living room. I was assured that the carpet (which was soaked) would be back to normal after being cleaned by the professional company housing hired. Normally I would be fine with this but my wife has a severe allergy to mold. We left for the weekend to return to the living room still smelling like wet carpet. There is no flooring in the kitchen, just concrete. As a landlord myself I ensure my tenant is given an adequate amount of help in a timely manner. This is simply unacceptable. I cannot believe how long it has taken for a large business to resolve this issue. With the prices we pay for living in base housing I would think that issues would be resolved or at least followed up on in a more timely manner.
