Today, at work, I took an order from a stuck-up sounding lady over the phone. She said her last name was "duckling, but with an F". Bemused, I wrote her name on the order. When she arrived to pick it up later, she told me she'd said "s", not "f". FML

Either way it's an awkward name. I seriously would like to know who came up with that one.

Would you **** for a buck, would you suck a fuckling duck? I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them Sam I am.

Well, in defence of the lady, it's rather hard to give your name over the phone, especially an unusual one. Still, probably hard to hear it properly as well, unless it is spelled. I hope she didn't bitch you out for this, OP.

The lady could have said something like "S an in Sam".

Yep. When giving my email address, passwords etc to clients i always go "sierra, charlie, hotel" and so on. You get tired of it after the 5th client that week types "itconfig", though some even do it after you tell them it's for internet protocol... bless them, they pay my salary :)
