Depends on the context of his current situation. If he's 21, at best he has a degree. Otherwise he's still in college and working away at that degree. All it takes is him getting you pregnant and then things happen. Maybe if he was 23-25, then yeah he's too old. But at 21, it's still debatable where he is in life.

I'm sorry Op I know the feeling. my girlfriend is 20 and her mom (who hooked us up btw) constantly cockblocks me. she let's her stay till 1 even on days I work but anything after is a no go. my advice is tough it out if you really care and get his mom to love you and it will happen eventually(unless she is a religious person who cares what others think)
