Today, I asked my girlfriend about a diamond necklace I bought her for her birthday, which she didn't seem to be wearing. She then told me she hocked it to pay for her inexpensive phone bill. I paid $1,500 for that necklace, she received $300 from the pawn shop. FML

how do you people even know if he likes elton john? if he doesn't that would be a really sucky gift. it probably doesn't even have anything to do with money. but if you do like elton john, op, then you should appreciate the gift. i would love that shirt. money doesn't matter if the gift is at least thoughtful.

That sounds like an awesome shirt, but I can understand why you wouldn't like it lol I bet she felt like a bitch then, though right? I hope she did. ... 2 years is a little soon for a 400$ necklace if you ask me, unless you rarely give her gifts.
