Today, I accidentally dropped my birth control pill on the floor and my dog ate it. The good news is, I startled her and she spit it right out. The bad news is, I still had to take it after it had been in my dog's mouth. FML

actually, my gyno told me that if i don't take it at the same time every day and if i just "skip a day" without making up for it, the risk of pregnancy is higher. FAIL

you could have taken it the next one and skipped a pill on your 4th week. those pills don't have any meds in them, they are just there so you take a pill every day.

It's okay to miss one or two pills in a row. Sometimes even three, depending on which one you're taking. Next time something like this happens, just smile and don't worry about it. The next day, just continue taking them normally again.

A dog's mouth is MUCH cleaner than your's is. Humans actually have one of the most unsanitary mouths of the animal kingdom. Dog's saliva actually has some enzyme that destroys bacteria. Humans also have this enzyme, but it's either much weaker or in much less quantities. Either way... there's less germs in the dogs mouth than your mouth, and the saliva is exactly the same except for the extra enzyme that makes it cleaner in the first place.. Big deal, quit your bitching and eat the pill! This site is **** my life, not "Oh no I had an icky moment over reacting to something not that disgusting in the first place!"
