Today, I asked my boyfriend of 3 years what he thought about marriage in the future. "Who knows? We might meet other people soon." FML

Could be nothing, maybe he meant that he doesn't know what will happen in the future? Hope for the best, OP!

How soon? Because it's time to replace him.

So that's a "no" OP. Get out now, stop wasting time.

Honestly, I had a similar experience, and I can say that he probably simply doesn't know what will happen. I'm sure he loves you now, but you never know if there is someone better out there. Besides, marriage is an intimidating proposal, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't want to make that decision yet. Just roll with it OP, live in the moment and enjoy it, and if he is ever ready, I'm sure he'll let you know :) good luck!

That's your clue OP. Talk to him about your (different) priorities and then make a decision. I left my BF after a very similar conversation - amicably. I felt bad for leaving because we did get along mostly. But within one year, he had married someone else. we were together for 3 years. Good luck OP.

Men......I swear sometimes I feel like it's their goal to be dumped

I agree. The fact that mentioned meeting other potential lovers as opposed to how he feels about marriage speaks volumes. He doesn't have to propose or say he'll marry her, for him to have thoughts on his future. I told my now fiancé that I didn't believe in marriage when we first met. Now six years later, I'm a month away from the deed.

If your S.O. Talks about seeing other people, you can bet your bottom dollar that they already have someone in mind..

And that would be the time to get out... Don't waste your time.

God I just love your bf's attitude. I really need that.
