Today, I bought How To Train Your Dragon and the cashier started complaining how her kids keep demanding dragon stuff and that mine will start after they see the movie. I don't have any kids, and I didn't have the courage to tell her I was buying it for myself. FML

Dragons are awesome, who cares what others think.

Hopefully you didn't get so nervous that you started to Hiccup. Of course if a guy ever laughed at me for liking kid movies then he would become Toothless.

I'm a 52-yo man, and I enjoyed the movie. George Lucas thought he was writing a kids' movie with "Star Wars". But everybody loves a good story, not just kids.

Considering how dark and violent Star Wars can be at times, especially the 3rd movie, it doesn't look like it was designed for children. It's amazing that most of the movies get by with a PG rating (most superhero movies are at least PG-13 for violence). Even the Clone Wars series can be pretty dark and violent. The 1st movie is probably the most directed towards children because Anakin was a child, Jar Jar Binks and the pod racing.

Don't even sweat it OP I have 3 kids, but I'm still an avid animation watcher/video game player. The people at the stores I frequent even gently joke with me by asking "So is this for you or the kids?". Hubby actually can tell you the names of all the My Little Ponies too because he watches them with our girls...but he knew them before that anyway lol

Why is this thumbed down? Because she mentioned her husband watches MLP? Because she's a grown adult playing video games? People need to get over themselves.

I'm 29 and I still watch cartoons and anime and play video games. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Besides, that movie, as well as the series and sequel are fantastic.

I cnt rly say fyl or ydi cuz op is living for someone else.

my wife and I went on a date to go see that movie in theaters and we both loved it.

Uh so? Today, at work, I was helping a lady choose shells for her son's hermit crab, she picks up one that has The Lorax painted on it and said "my son loves the Lorax" and I was like, "Same!" (I'm turning 20 this year).

No shame in it. Toothless is kick ass.

Why are people scared to admit these things.? First off that movie was pretty good, Second who cares what others think they don't know you at all except that you have money to buy a movie haha

So? It's a film. You like it. Man up.
