Today, I bought something special at Victoria's Secret, then sat in bumper-to-bumper traffic for 2 hours to get to my boyfriend's house. When I got there, he broke up with me. We're 37 years old and he actually gave me the "it's not you, it's me" speech. FML
I agree, your life sucks 34 377

I didn't realize there was an age limit on when you could use the "it's not you, it's me" speech. "Because my mom doesn't like you" shouldn't be used past age 18, but "it's not you, it's me" is timeless.

I would rather hear that it isn't me than that it is completely my fault.

Maybe it is him but you'd also be crying if he said it WAS you.

No, no, the my mom doesnt like you is never good.

I think my mom doesn't like you makes a lot of sense if you still live with her, smart one

37 and still dating (insert bad song here)

You can save the VS for your next boyfriend.

What the hell does your age have to do with it? FYL, but only because you got dumped, not because of how he did it. He was just being kind.

Maybe it really is him. HE broke up with you. Maybe HE just isn't feeling it anymore.
