Today, I brought my 6-year-old to the mall to sit on Santa's lap. She told him what she wanted and smiled for the picture. When the lady told her that her turn was over, she began throwing a fit, pulling off Santa's beard in the process. This caused all the kids in line to begin sobbing. FML

I would be sobbing too if a kid had enough strength to rip every one of Santa's hairs out of their follicles. Imagine the pain! . . .That IS what happened, right?

I never understood the draw of taking your young children to sit on a stranger's lap. In what other situation would this be ok?

Well it looks like someone just made Santa's naughty list...

Boo hoo Noor, when my girls were younger I let them believe in "fairy tails", yes, "fairy tails", (ie, Santa), and yet they still knew (and still do know) the true meaning of Christmas.

I was never led to believe that fairies had tails

Whether or not anyone cares to argue the point of letting small children be children, and believe in the magic of Santa Claus and be innocent for a few short years before they are so rudely awakened to the realities of the world. This was undoubtedly a very tragic incident for the children, and by default their parents. I think one thing commonly overlooked when making a funny, valid, helpful, or possibly stupid comment, is that the FML has already taken place, and even the best advice in the world cannot ever reverse time and undo whatever damage has been done.

Why ruin the fun of Santa being real for your child? Eventually they will find out on their own as they get older.

hope they didn't saw The Guardians before coming there. Great movie by the way.
