Today, I burned my hand while making breakfast. As I staggered around the kitchen in agony, looking for some burn cream, my cat figured he'd latch onto said hand and drag his claws through the burn. FML

He's usually such a sweet cat! I have no idea if I scared him or what :/ Still hurts!

Sounds like a catastrophe. Sorry, I just had to.

Cold water then a quick dry then burn cream...that may have prevented the cat joining in

Run your hand under cold water when you burn it.

Not cold. Just cool or lukewarm. Cold is too much of a shock.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you get burned, doesn't it burn the nerve endings where you got burned and the pain you feel is from the surrounding nerves. So going by this logic, that cat shouldn't have caused you more pain.

OP, this is why you should've got a dog, instead.

Haha I have a dog! A 98lb lab mix. He's just not allowed in the kitchen because he knows how to open the fridge door -.-

Further proof that cats are evil.
