At this point I think they're more like fish crumbs...
I think by now they're more like fish crumbs...
Fishes can be very expesive! In Euros my bf fishes cost sometimes more than €100 (that's 142 US dollar)! If they weren't that expensive it's still sad (and grose) to see your fishes dead and al rotten. And cleaning up is terrible! But the worst is that your dad just let them die of hunger.. Fthe fishesLife for those 2 months!
Not just that fish can be expensive and in some cases hard to find certain breeds. But they have just as much feeling and personality as any cat or dog. If it had been his dog decomposing that he came home to, people would be yelling 'Call animal welfare!' But no, cause it's a fish, for some reason people don't even react.
saltwater?
i dropped off my cat at my dad's house a few weeks ago because my mom and i are moving across the country and temporarily living with my aunt who is allergic. went back to check on the cat after a week had gone by, the windows were all open and without screens, the cat was gone, and dad my dad had no idea and didn't even care.
How did you come back to find them all decomposing? Did they all die at once, just a few days before you got home? Sorry if this is a true FML, but as an experienced fish keeper, I have seen fish disappear quite quickly after dying in a well populated and established tank. The other fish will consume a dead fish quite quickly, and they also decompose really quickly even with only a few other fish in the tank just due to all of the bacteria and microorganisms in the tank. If I don't notice that a fish has died within 24 hours, there isn't very much to scoop out once i DO discover the remains. So unless there was some freak incident where the tank completely collapsed just a few days before you got home, I call BS.
at least it wasnt your kids
