YDI for getting married in the first place

Been there... got home from school. Checked facebook. Received the "You are no longer in a relationship with (douchebag)" notification. What a way to end a year and a half huh? Called him when I saw it and when he finally answered my call after a few tries he said "Well I wanted to wait until you came to visit this weekend to talk to you about this but since you're making a big deal about it right now I don't think I'm in the right place to have a girlfriend right now blah blah blah" The "big deal" that I was making was one simple question - "Why did you change your status if you wanted to wait until I came to visit." So yea. I feel your pain.

There's just one problem with this illustration. I think, not sure though, that you can only be listed as "married" to someone if that person is also listed as "married" to you. Am i wrong?
