Umm...it definitely DOES affect us if someone is smoking in a public area with a lot of foot traffic. Besides, "death sticks" and "cancer sticks" would both be more accurate and descriptive names than "cigarettes," so maybe it's the cigarette industries that need to grow up. Or maybe it's you, because you feel that the right to poison yourself trumps others' rights to not be poisoned by second-hand smoke.

Just because the word's history is indicative of its meaning doesn't mean it is accurate or descriptive to the average American. This is especially true for young, low-income Americans: one of the tobacco industry's main target demographics.

You're sooooo right! ...If by "best" you mean "most ignorant, angsty, self-entitled P.O.S." And no one's saying there is any one way of dying that's better than another, but smoking is totally intentional, unlike most of the (admittedly stupid) deaths on that show. And, though I'd seriously hope this isn't news to you, you not only poison yourself when you smoke, but also those around you.
