Today, I went to my father for advice. I've been seeing a wonderful girl for the past month, and I feel terrible about it, because I already have a girlfriend. He said "Kill yourself" and that if I "can't even do that right" then to get out of his house, because he disowns me. FML

Today, I was sitting in my room when my dad walked in to talk. He said I'm not the son he'd hoped for, and that he'd been let down as a father. He said I should change the way I am so that he could love me more. It was the longest conversation I've had with my dad in years. FML

Whether you're dating someone for 3 weeks or 3 years and even though you're "really attached" to that person, you shouldn't feel your life is worth taking. And I know it sucks and hurts a lot, but telling a loved one you're suicidal over it is probably really scary for them.
