I don't think my first conclusion would be that she'd go to a cafe to smoke...unless the man she's seeing is a smoker and she came back smelling like it...denial perhaps? FYL either way

Maybe she used to smoke, tried to quit a couple of times, failed t those, and then tried again, succeeded and OP thought she was relapsing. Who knows, maybe she was smoking because whoever she was cheating with has a smoke fetish. Yes they exist.
