Today, I could no longer handle the drum music in the apartment below me so I went to kindly ask the little old lady to shut it off before she goes to bed. Her neighbor came out while I knocked to tell me she is out of town and the music is constant so her cats don't get lonely. FML

Lonely? They have all those mice, birds and chipmunks to play with! Why did the old lady leave? Did she have a 20-minute one-sided argument with the cat and decide to leave for an extended time?

Oh yes.. because cats just love it when their owner goes away and they get to listen to drum music all day and night!! Those poor cats!! ;_; Contact the landlord, and if they won't/don't do anything about it, call the police. You can file it under either "Disturbing the peace" or "public nuisance". Either way, if its driving you that crazy, I'd get on the phone now!! Good luck.

Those poor cats. Stuck with loud banging. I reckon along with calling the police and landlord, animal control could be called too. The poor cats :(

I agree with the "poor cats" sentiment, but not for being stuck with the loud banging -- for being stuck with an owner that thinks loud drum music will keep her cats company. Isn't that what supers are for?

Arent cats generally reclusive anyway? Then he said cats, plural. I'm sure the cats are in there chillin, watchin fish shows on Animal Planet. They're fine. Shut off the music!
