Today, I couldn't sleep and in the process of tossing and turning I did something very painful to my back. I spent 4 years in the marine corps infantry, but laying in a bed kicks my ass. FML

sigh...... #54 was trying to tell the idiot commenter to shut up, give our armed forces some respect, and lets see THEM try to do 4 years in the Marines(because they most likely wouldn't make it). That was the point of their comment..... Very relevant......

Why don't you go into the Marine for 4 years? You won't be able to survive that long.

They've done a hell of a lot more with their lives, and have ended up far more honorable and courageous than you could ever hope to, you fat, useless lowlife.

I get the irony.... and so, i believe does # 54. I was implying to # 60 that HIS comment was irrelevant because #54 (i'm sure) knows that the Marines are voluntary. #54 was wanting #1 to go through what the OP had to do, you know, the 4 years of busting his ass as a Marine... and then MAYBE #1 can say that he is "whining".... If posting a lighthearted FML can constitute as whining. Sorry, is that more clear?

Sorry, that above comment was supposed to go on the comment thread to #1

All i got to say is that this guy should have become a Ranger instead of a Marine.

hurting your back sucks for sure. but the first mistake you did was enlisting in the military...now, all you other people dont start to comment me telling me im disrespecting the military because i also did 4 years in the Marine Corps and it was 4 yrs of stupidity and BS! but i do have the GI bill and goin to school for free so i guess there is one good thing that you get out of the military.

BAWWWWWW you had an uncomfortable night's sleep and woke up sore.

If I could roll my eyes any harder, they'd fall out of my head.

Probably one of those "just barely not" injuries, and somehow tossing and turning pushed it over the edge. Happened to a good friend of mine in the corps a week after getting back from iraq. Docs took a look, turns out they missed some shrapnel between the lower discs of his spine. All you people saying 'boo hoo', go do something with your life.
