Today, I couldn't sleep and in the process of tossing and turning I did something very painful to my back. I spent 4 years in the marine corps infantry, but laying in a bed kicks my ass. FML

sigh...... #54 was trying to tell the idiot commenter to shut up, give our armed forces some respect, and lets see THEM try to do 4 years in the Marines(because they most likely wouldn't make it). That was the point of their comment..... Very relevant......

Why don't you go into the Marine for 4 years? You won't be able to survive that long.

I'm an EOD in the marines and I managed to get through Afghanistan without blowing myself up but as soon as the plane landed I tripped down the stairs and broke my arm

Here in the us that is something very respected screw u for being an ass go join the armed forces and see how u like it

**** all of you who are giving him YDIs and telling him to man up. He was a MARINE; show some ******* respect, because he gave his freedoms and safety up to let you keep yours. You don't have to like this FML, but you have no right to talk to a soldier, current or former, like that. Also, OP, don't sweat it. I'm assuming you're somewhere in your mid-30's to mid-40's, and since you're a former Marine, the likelihood of you getting some sort of back problem is entirely to be expected.

its a proven fact that for one year of the infantry certain joints age 3-4 years....I have to see a chiropractor every week....OP I know your pain

My dad throughs out his back on a daily basis but if he keeps moving it makes him feel better maybe you should try it. :)

Probably all those long humps you did while the the Corps.

As stupid and crazy as it sounds, you'll never get a better night sleep then you do in the field! Whether it's three hours or eight hours of sleep, something about being in the field under the stars always made me sleep better!
