Today, I cut down a dead tree in my yard. The top hit the ground and the base seesawed up in the air and came down on my head. I hit the ground like a sack of flour. Fortunately, the wood was rotted and soft. Unfortunately, the chainsaw was still running. 28 stitches in my calf. FML

man i feel you there i got hit in the head with a running chainsaw. it was my dad who hit me

dude you deserved it.... read the manual next time which will explain how to cut down the tree and prevent it from see sawing, which will also suggest that you move away from the tree as it falls just in case.... or better yet... hire someone who actually knows what they are doing

... and that's why you call in professionals

To those saying that he deserved it for not wearing the proper protective gear or not hiring a professional, have none of you ever done something potentially dangerous without taking every safety precaution? I'm pretty sure that everybody's done it at one time. FYL, but at least your leg is still there.

#27; What if he IS the professional? Accidents happen. In NO way did he deserve that.

To everyone who has argued against this being a YDI: First, trees hop like that all the time so they really should have gotten out of the way. Second, not wearing Kevlar leggings is worse than not wearing a seat belt. We all make mistakes (Kevlar leggings have saved my legs more than once) but if you're not going to take necessary precautions to protect yourself from an incredibly dangerous tool, don't blame the world when you are injured or die.

OH WOW. haha that is INSANE. I was like reading it, kinda bored, then BAM! I got scared & gasped. hahaha :|
