Well just make sure to quiz or test them on the material they missed.
I'm sorry that whoever is in charge of scheduling your department didn't warn you away from that. We have the potential for a few double-length lectures that are 2.5 hours and we are all warned to never teach them if at all possible. Students just won't pay attention for that long. I can't even imagine trying to keep them around in a class longer than that.
Make alot of the next test on what the missed cuz they left by there choice
