My neighbor had a shock collar on their not-so-intelligent dog and she ran through the electric fence about ten times(in a row) before running to the outside and fleeing for fear of her life. She came back two days later, with a normal collar on and a note attached saying "Whoever put this on the dog, f*** you". I also had a friend who put a shock collar on her poodle and the voltage was set so high that when he walked through her he shrieked like a pig and then ran away, coming back a few hours later. He was shocked coming back in. I was extremely surprised that she left the collar on him, and lowered the voltage. He still walks through the fence.

My friend decided to try this once.
