Today, I discovered that the five-star meal that my friend treated me to last night was actually meant to be repayment of the $200 I loaned her last month. I needed that money for bills and she refuses to give me another cent. FML

worse than that, even if it did cost $200, she would have only eaten $100th worth, so where is the rest of the money

That is so messed up. How does that even work? Even if the bill came up to 200 she ate too......you couldn't of benefitted from 200 worth of food & drink. How do people's minds work???

Take a crap on her floor and say you're returning it in exchange for cash

That person is not your friend. Walk away.

I doubt the meal costed $200. Your friend should at least pay you back the remainder of that money.

I disagree with all the 'I hope you mean ex-friend' advocates. OP's friend spent $200 on her, and is understandably unwilling to cough up any more. (Taking into account that the meal might not have actually cost that much, and that chances are OP only ate $100 worth - but with friends you sort of have to give them the benefit of the doubt, and maybe she hasn't considered that angle?) Wow. That was the longest, most sincere comment I've ever posted.

She only returned you the price of things you ate, you can still ask her to return you the rest

Word of advice. If you don't have an extra $200 laying around, that you wont miss, do not give it to a friend, You will NEVER give it back and may ruin your friendship

When you loan someone money, always ask for cash back.

This really blows ... but I guess at least now you know NEVER to loan this person money again. They should have told you before taking you to dinner it was the pay back.
