Today, I discovered that the word 'randy' means 'horny' in England. I'm going to England next semester to study abroad. My name is Randy. FML

We aren't retarded. We use the word horny a lot more. Randy is a dying word over here.

When I was in England, the name Lou seemed to be very popular. It has a little tinkle to it.

You are only likely to have any issue with very drunk and/or very stupid people, but it might be worth cultivating the phrase "Hi, my name's Randy" rather than "Hi, I'm Randy" to cut down on the number of double-takes you get!

here's a tip for you, in England we don't call them semesters, we call them terms. And we prefer Britain and British instead of England and English, well most do anyways!

I live in England and who the **** says randy???? I never actually heard of that term!

Literally, no-one here will give you shit. People do not say "I'm feeling randy" they say "I need a shag". Actually, I take that back; they'll give youshit because you're American. Megalolz.

Shorten your name to Andy then. In australia we use, horny and Toey

We had a kid named Mono come to our school from brazil and I guess it means bro there but it is still pretty funny

Dear OP, it also means that in the US, and, while not ubiquitous, it's certainly not uncommon.

It's actually pretty common. ;)

Here's a thought... Instead of saying "I'm Randy", you could say "my name is Randy". Pretty simple.

It means the same thing in the States, as well, dumbass.
