yeah she apologized after I pulled my license out and proved it to her. then she just had this blank stare on her face. lmao I hear something about my name at least once a day, most the time it's stupid but there have been some good ones on occasion

I went to highschool with a Michael Myers. Never met him, but I'd hear him being ordered to the office every now and then over the intercom. True story.

We have (had?) a doctor in my town named Michael Myers. I know it's just a name and doesn't say anything about his medical skill but it always weirded me out a little XD
Now we must wait for the FML from her saying how embarrassed she probably was!
parents claim they never heard of the guy when they named me. I was born in 89 and the movies came out in the early 80s I believe. FML
Yes, the first in 1978.
I know a Michael Myers too. I think he was born before Halloween came out and the first thing I did when I met him was ask if his name was actually Michael Myers.
Well if your parents aren't horror movie fans then there is no reason that they'd know the name. I have a friend who named his daughter Emily Rose (first and second name) and when I jokingly asked if he'd had to exorcise her he suddenly realised and remembered the movie The Exorcism of Emily Rose. These things happen and I'm glad you can see the funny side of it.
They're lying☺️ Is it sick that I'm going to do this to my kids when I have them or something along the lines of Harry Dick?
Honestly with common names like your first name, I think some parents tend to name their kids the name they want, in spite of whether some famous person already has it (or, in this case, if it's the name of someone in a slasher movie). I knew a guy named Michael Jackson in college. Like your parents, his probably just liked the name Michael, and his last name had to be Jackson. I can imagine how annoying it can be having everyone commenting on it and you kind of always being under a spotlight for it. All our peers thought this guy Michael Jackson would be some super cool party guy, but he was normal, introverted, and even slightly awkward. I actually felt a little bad for him. Anyway, OP, your parents probably had heard of the movie and were like: "**** that we like the name Michael!" "But what about that movie about the serial killer, honey? What will the neighbors say?" "**** it we'll tell them we never heard of it. I can name my goddamn son whatever the hell I want!" ...or something like that :)
I would have thought of the comedian first...
It's the same thing with my parents. My brother was born in 98 and named Osama, and at the time it was fine but then 9/11 happened and people started asking my parents if they were gonna change his name but my dad said it's the name he always wanted his son to have and that it's not gonna change regardless of what another Osama did.
Do you happen to play Shrek?
????? that's awesome!!! I love your name
My dad has the same name and he gets this reaction sometimes lol
Yea baby!!!
as if my name wasn't enough. my birthday is February 13th lmao
You are a legend!!!

Do you have a daughter named Daisy?
no my daughter's names are Cara and Zoey
