Is it possible you're more serious about the relationship than she is? Or could she have been sleepwalking? If you're actually not a creep and she was aware of what she was doing, I'd say good riddance. I'm truly sorry someone was that cruel to you (if it was not deserved).

Honestly... It's never a good idea to surprise your girlfriend. Or boyfriend. Because exactly this reaction could happen. If react the same way, albeit kinder.
