Girl you lost = code for girl who dumped you, which makes your actions pretty damn creepy. Stalking a woman who doesn't want to be with you is not romantic. Call/text/e-mail her if you must, but showing up at her house halfway across the country UNINVITED is a douche move on your part

Exactly! Unless you have a bright green light, this is a horrible idea. If I left a guy and he showed up uninvited and unannounced, I would be scared more than anything. Not sweet and romantic, a frightening display of "I don't respect you, your boundaries, or your privacy."
