Today, I facebooked my friends about my upcoming birthday party, and told them to keep the date free. I got several responses telling me that's not possible, because that's the day the new Harry Potter movie comes out. FML

I would honestly have to agree. Opening night of Harry Potter matches no other.

pshh who wouldn't go watch Harry Potter instead *light bulb goes on in head* maybe you can have your birthday party at the movie theater!

lol. I made a friend of mine reschedule her sweet sixteen when the 7th book came out. Just reschedule. It's not that much of a big deal

actually... are we talking a house party with alcohol? because then again.. i could go see hp that weekend. but i could also go to a party any other day. idk. thats an iffy. harry potter or house party? harry potterrrrrrrrr:)

The movie release was moved from last November to this summer. It's a big deal for Harry Potter fans... so your friends would get mad at you that you would plan your b-day party on a day they already had big plans a year in advance...

#85 just wants a chance to insult people who use facebook. Facebook is an excellent way to inform a large amount of people. make an event, invite people. What if she wanted to have a party with 50 people who she knew from different places. she'd have to invite all her friends individually. a lot more effort (especially since this isn't even a firm plan, just a notification)

Obviosly they can't the new movie is going to rock.

F their lives for being Harry Potter nerds.

Well of course they're going to go to the movie! It's Harry Potter c'mon. Why would you make your birthday party on that day? I would definitely say that's your own fault.
