People can't talk about their feelings in the UK? I don't know, try France or somewhere.

That makes absolutely zero sense to me

I had no idea that talking about your feelings was illegal in Britian. D:

just because youre from the uk you cant tell someone youre upset?

I'm British... I didn't realise this was a thing

As a fellow inhabitant of the British Isles, I must say that I have no idea why you can't talk about it. I talked my depression through with my doctor and got sorted. It's really a lot easier once you try that.

For those who don't understand, here's a logical assumption: he's in the US. Since Americans find British accents adorable, he feels like he won't be taken seriously. No matter what he says, he'll sound cute. Does anyone else agree?

Check online support groups or call the suicide prevention hotline. If it's the cultural stigma you mean, screw that and talk to someone. Call your best friend, parents, priest, anyone, and say "Hey, I'm feeling depressed. Life seriously sucks right now. I want to give up". Anyone that won't want to help is a dick.
