British people don't talk about feelings. Shit I'm moving there. Tired of hearing people in California complaining lol
Yeah, people in uk are generally reserved but I really don't see why this affects your ability to communicate to someone that youre suffering. I'm in scotland and the amount of people i met coming in and out of psych units for all sorts - even for the most mild anxiety! It seemed everyone was on the bandwagon to get professional help for everything that caused the slightest mental anxiety, nevermind not talking to anyone about their problems. I even have many friends down south who have been in mental health services at some point. I don't think mental ill health is as taboo a subject as youre making it out to be. So many people are much more open and honest with what theyre going through now. This FML is stupid. Go to your GP and stop spouting crap on FML.
"Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way"
Did anyone else read this in a British accent?
I don't understand
if you need a pen pal to talk to, email me. Steven_ [email protected]. id love to help you out and lend an ear and give advice. hope you're feeling better.
Sorry to hear this OP. You should never apologize for your feelings. Feeling alone is a bitch. If what you need is someone to talk to then manifest (set your mind and energy on) it and it will come.
In Britain, there is such thing as a "stiff upper lip". It's a stereotype that British people demonstrate their stiff upper lips and don't discuss their problems
This is the stupidest FML ever
