don't worry about it my roommates make fun of me all the time cause i was dating a girl who was 17 and i was 19, just cause i was in university and she was in high school. it didn't matter to me though because i really liked her, plus in canada the age of consent is 14

#4.. as long as shes 16, he has to be no older than 20. in PA, as long as one person is at least 16, he/she can have sex with someone who is no more than 4 years older than him/her.. trust me, i know

16 seems to be the age everyone under 14 says they are, especially online. Internet relationships usually don't work. Webcam might help you figure out how old she really is. Also, maybe the people saying this have some truth to their words?

look, if this dude is like 16 also or in that general age range, it's totally normal. You're all operating under the assumption that the OP is much much older. If he is in fact a teenager, and operating under your logic, if you had a significant other in high school that was the same age as you, your pedos also. However, OP, if you are like 20 or older, it's really creepy and you are sick. And also need to be stoned to death because you have no basic human rights.

Excuse me but just for your information a lot of people meet on the Internet nowadays. I have met my current boyfriend online and we fell for each others personality not the physical features. We Skype everyday and never run out of things to talk about. If you're meant to love someone you will. He is 18 and I've just turned 17 I was 16 when we met. Love knows no bounds and you can find it in the oddest of places. Just because it didn't work for you doesn't mean that it won't for others.

He's not a pedo for liking a 16-year-old. He could very well be close to her age. If she was 11, yes, that would be weird. Whether he deserves this depends on how much he knows about this girl. Like, if he's been on webcam etc. with her, I'd say he doesn't, but if they haven't done that or even exchanged pictures, it's lame and he totally does. I know the feeling though. I talk to this guy on the internet and have a bit of a crush on him, but even though I've talked to him on webcam and therefore was plainly able to see that he wasn't a horny old man, my friends still tell me he's probably either an 50-year-old or a lesbian. I'm not even claiming to "love" this guy, and it still gets on my nerves.

My friends do the same thing. I have had this crush on this guy and he's 5 years older than me. We dated but once it was 3 months before his 18 month birthday he broke up me with me because of the damn laws. I don't know, I don't say you're a pedo. To me a pedo is someone who GOES ROUND LOOKING for underage girls. If you crush on 9 different people your age and then someone who is a few years younger comes around it doesn't make you a pedo. Also notice that when I'm 32 and he turns 37 it'll be acceptable. DOUBLE STANDARD! And I do believe in falling in love over the internet, because it's the peronsality that counts and webcams do give you a viable source of seeing who they are. But then my friend have said, "But they could have hired someone to grab you for him. It could be their little bro or something." Like anyone is going to go that much trouble.

when I was 11 I met this guy on a chat and he was 16 so I told him I was 16 too. It didn't work for long and he found out I was only 11 but he fell in love with me. he was emo and was going to kill himself but I talked him out of it. Then I deleted the chat bc I didn't want anything like tht to ever happen to me again.
