You divorce decree is required to state who gets to claim the children on taxes. It must to be submitted with your tax return. If she filed incorrectly, claim them yourself with the documentation and she'll get audited.
All you have to do is contact the IRS and tell them whats going on. Then you will have to file your taxes by hand and not electronically. It make take longer but at least you will get YOUR money. THEY will have to pay back theirs. My ex did the same thing. I was in the clear. as will you be. Good luck
