Jfc. Ydi. You don't leave a puppy outside unsupervised. Even if you are in, they get themselves intro trouble so easily. Mines 5 1/2 months and allowed in the garden by herself now but I would never even consider leaving the house without her securely inside. Use a freaking crate.
I have no issue with people buying dogs from a responsible breeder. Ie someone who only breeds every couple of years, does all the relevant health checks, does proper checks of the new owners etc. If no-one bred it would only be 7 or so years before it became completely unethical to breed.
You don't leave a puppy alone outside
Why would you leave your dog outside when you are not there????
It happens i had a golden retriever we rescued from a shelter, we got him because he would be put down the next day. he had a lot of problems. but when he was in our yard some one drove down our drive way ppl did it a lot. when we went to see if he was done digging (his favorite thing) he was gone some one stole him. there are some people that take dogs if they think you are miss treating them we couldn't prove they took our max. but we know they took him because he ran away a lot. he had some behavior problems and would chase anything he thought was interesting. i know how you feel.
Don't get another dog.
You don't leave a dog outside for that long!

Why didn't you tie it up? If it was a new pet, you don't know how it's going to react. YDI for not making sure it was secure!
dont have kids, please you cant even take care of a dog...
