I don't think any of you understand what staring down means. She wasn't looking at him with her head cocked to the side, big round eyes peering innocently out from behind golden curls. If she was staring him down, she knew why he was there, and she wanted him to know how deeply she despised him for trying. I feel for you, OP.

Look, if you are just going to go up to a girl, you need to have a pick-up line on the tip of your tongue before you get to her. You really don't want a corny one like "If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?" So, I am going to give you one that really works. Despite it's simplicity and innocence, it really is quite effective. Being as nervous and tongue-tied as you seem to be, you may have to rehearse this one hundreds of times in the mirror before you put it to use. Maybe write it on the back of your hand to make sure. Got a pen and paper? Ready? Here it is: Hi. Does that make sense? Can you handle that? Now go out there and make the male gender proud of you. Save pimpin88's manifesto for later. That could come in handy if you want to get really good, but at first, you should he able to say "hi" to a girl without peeing your pants.

37 is an absolute idiot i dont think hes talked to a girl ever. that was one of the dumbest things iv ever read... dont listen to what hes saying otherwise every guy would be going to the gym to work out to talk to girls whiiiich does not happen. literally the only thing he got right was that u get better at it over time. if ur not up to the whole straight forward approach just take ur time and be friends with one of her friends that u have confidence around and eventually u and the girl u like would be seeing more of eachother and then bam. dont overthink it either cos nothing ever turns out the way u planned cos u cant predict how she reacts and the exact stuff shes going to say

One thing I'd add about #11 is that when you are new at this, choose moderately good-looking women to practice on. Really hot girls are not going to want to deal with a noob (and you don't get a redo if you improve your style over the next few weeks) and ugly girls are going to think you are making fun of them or they will begin to stalk you. The other cool thing about getting comfortable to speaking around moderately good-looking women is that the hot ones start to notice you and then you have a better chance with them.

My statement wasn't general; it was specifically addressed to the OP.
