Honestly, just ignore all the ignorant people posting. You're not "wrong" for being gay, nor are you "abnormal". We lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders are perfectly normal. We're born this way, we don't choose. You can't "cure" it, as it is not a disease. Your mother will eventually get over it, as did mine. I've known I was a lesbian since I was...11 or 12-ish. I came out at 17. I'm almost 19 now. My mom still has problems with it and my dad ignores it, but as for the talks and the attempts to convince me that it's just a phase, those are long gone. Everything will eventually get better, but there will always be rough spots. We still live in a very ignorant world, but we're slowly getting better. The only thing stopping us is ignorant assholes and the uneducated religious public. (I'm not calling all religious people uneducated or ignorant, as I have family and friends who are religious and far from what I've said, but the majority that I always see ARE. If you're not one of them, thank you.) No one wants to be discriminated against, hated, or killed for their differences. Why would we choose to be homosexual? Ignorant logic has no grounds, so stop using it.
I 100% agree. We talk about "freedom" But when we talk about our sexuality We get "Your wrong" Or "Your going to hell" Where is the respect anymore?
response: "I'm not sure yet, mom. I figure, why stop a good thing when I can see where it goes? I hear dolphins are into the group thing, and there are some types of pine that actually know how to treat a lady."
I resent the idea that we LGBT folk need some sort of "excuse" for our sexual preference. Does it really matter whether our behavior is genetic, whether we choose our attraction or whether we were influenced by external forces? We aren't typically asked to justify our behavior in realms other than sexual preference. The issue should not be one of cause but one of effect. Please explain to me how gay individuals directly hurt the world.
EW, gays and adoption.
get a proper stick between your legs (for a start!)
#325, you're going to hell.
geez why can't anyone just respect differnces???

oh my god I know how you feel. I came out to my mom recently and got me kicked out of the house so I live with my grandparents. she called me the other day and was like "so have you changed your mind yet? " and I said "sorry mom I'm with my girlfriend. I'll call you later". Just hang in there. :) you got this.
Bring a girlfriend home and make out in front of her.
