All you can do is ignore it. Maybe she was mad, or just curious. How else to you explain being straight? As far as we know, it IS normal. I find gays and lesbians to be just as normal as straights... but it's not as easily accepted for others. Especially parents who never even expiremented. Plus, as you've already noticed, many people believe what the bible says in women never dating women and men never dating men, and all that other stuff. The bible has been pushed at us so much it's become impossible not to believe for some people. The best thing you can do is ignore it. Ignore any comment some jerk out there has to say, even a parent or close friend, and do what you can do to be happy. No one else can FORCE you to be happy. Don't even bother trying to explain things to her, it wont matter now. As long as you live under her roof, don't bring it up. She'll think you forgot and stop caring lol. But, you have the right to be mad. You can ignore her or just avoid her, but if you make it a big deal, the comments wont stop at this.

To the OP- I'm very sorry. When I told my parents they we're very accepting. And I thank God for that everyday. To all the people that say you CHOOSE to be gay, I'm going to tell you, no, no I didn't choose to be gay. That is saying you CHOOSE who you fall in love with. And you don't. You love who you love.
