Unless he was working some crazy hours or skimming off the top I really doubt he made that kind money selling sno-cones and also keep in mind that a lot of internship don't even pay you anything you should be glad you got paid what you did. a piece of advice never compare yourself with others ,your setting yourself up for disapointment in life, the grass is always greener on the otherside.
There is no such thing as minimum wage or even hourly pay at Carnivals, except recently, for a small minority in California, or "spot help". If you travel, you either get commission, or a weekly salary. If no carny made that much, there's be no carnivals. Nobody could afford the equipment. You people know nothing about the industry. That's only $600 - $700 a week.
Hey I worked for the carnivals I made 30% of take so if i brought in $500 day i was paid $150.that was just the little fairs and festivals.now when i did the state fairs on average i brought in $2,000-$3,000 a day so those $600 and $900 pay days are nice and remember i was paid every night.so if you dont know what we carnies realy do keep your moth shut.best job i ever had meet new ppl every day watch them have fun and smile.only thing that always pissed me off is watching mom day play games or ride the rides and the kids would ask for some thing and the parents would yell at them we dont have the money.Because the mom or dad was to drunk or messed up on drugs.oh ya some carnivlas drugs test and do back ground checks
You were an intern. One of you has a future. The other is already top of the game :/
but damn good snowcones!
Did you work with bones? Just askin. Sorry bout the cousin thing. Stupid carnies...
And this says a fair bit about the state of society today.

So what? A carnie is never going to go anywhere, you've got experience that will get you a better job and you'll end up with more in the end than a carnie ever could.
be thankful that you even got paid for an internship!
