Everyone seems to an asshole about this. Maybe he just respects his great grandma, or maybe he even knew her. Imagine sleeping in the bed your mom died in. It wouldn't matter what I changed, I still wouldn't sleep on it, out of love and respect. I feel for you, OP.

GRANDMA IS WATCHING YOU ********** Seriously though, get over it. I sleep in the bed my grandmother was born in (with newer mattress and sheets) without nightmares or anything.

I've had the chair my grandpa died in for years it's been reupholstered but I've never had a problem with it. Also my bed was my dead grandma's I sleep like a baby. and I do love and respect them... but it's effing furniture.

My uncle died in my bed AND I still have the same mattress. Awkward to think about but everyone's gotta die somewhere. If we went around worrying about who died where we would be restricted to a very limited amount of space.

A close family friend died in my bed. It is hands down the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I love it. And it's not weird at all. Get the **** over it.
