The best I could suggest is to be yourself, perhaps make a little effort to show her you're not what she originally thought you were. She may have seen a picture of the OP and judged her based on appearance. Think about it: unusually dyed or styled hair, facial piercings, visible tattoos, grungy clothes, etc. are all things that some people have strong prejudices against. Not saying it's right, but it happens.

LOL my exboyfriends mother never met me but she saw a picture of me and decided she hated me. All because my hair was black and blonde. Just prove her wrong things are much simpler when you get along with your boyfriends parents and vice versa.
