Wow. Time to wait for a follow up
This is higher than an FML...but Ashley was originally a mans name I believe like Leslie and Mackenzie...
Leslie, yes. MacKenzie I'm not sure about? It's Scottish, I believe, but I don't know much else about its origins. Ashley was a common male name until the 1980's. 50 years ago it wasn't even considered a female name. I'd assume it was most popular 1988-1992, ish. I was born in 1988 and graduated with 17 of them. we only had 130 female students...
sounds like a story for Jerry Springer!
I'm confused
there's just so many OMG moments in this!
Has anyone seen Brokeback Mountain? It was a good movie with a sad love triangle like that. This FML very much reminds me of Brokeback Mountain. Yes, same sex mariage is now the law of the land but OP is in Texas and I would be willing to bet that OP'S fiancé was not out (he is married, to a woman). There is a lot pain in this story. I do hope everyone heals from this , eventually. Ashley, please let us know that you are OK or do reach out for support if you need. Heartbreak feel like the end of the world, but they're not, I promise you. I can only imagine the pain these people must feel right now, the wife, OP, and even the fiancé. Good luck to all of you.
And next on Dr. Phil!
if that's your fiance how do you not know they are currently married? if they are separated I understand a little but it seems like you don't really know your "fiance" to well.
Considering the guy's a cheater, of course he's going to go to great lengths to keep his fiance and hiswife from finding out about each other. It's not OP's fault for not knowing.
Yes, because cheaters tell the other person they are in a relationship already..

That was a train wreck from start to finish.
Well, that would make for an interesting reality show.
