They're ggggrrrreat!
I think she was just trying to give you the natural GH, that formula and normal milk doesn't offer?
Saving money has its cons..
pros*
Thumbs up for Xena.
Gives whole new meaning to the phrase "They're Great!" But breast milk isn't bad for you, and this seems better than breastfeeding you until you were 7. Regular milk comes out of a cows boob. No one complains.
You prefer the breast milk of a cow, whose udder and teats hang under its arse? Lol.
Sorry, OP. That's disgusting. And even IF there were any benefits to drinking breast milk for that long (huge if--the latest research on this matter is showing that, contrary to earlier studies, there's no significant difference between kids who were breast and formula fed...earlier studies weren't controlling for factors like parents' education, income levels, access to parenting resources, and ones that HAVE controlled for these factors haven't found any distinction in health or IQ of the kids involved...sorry, lactivists) it seems they'd be outweighed by having the sort of mother who would sneak breast milk into your cereal. I hope you got waaaay the hell away, OP.
Your ignorance makes me sad...
Breastmilk develops your brain to it's full potential, so it does actually make a difference to IQ, that's not to say there aren't stupid breastfed kids and very smart formula fed children, it's just fact. There are huge differences between formula and breastmilk, formula cannot develop a strong stomach lining as well as breastmilk can, which can cause health problems, formula doesn't change to meet your babies current needs at the touch of lips to a bottle like breast does. Formula is a fantastic invention but it's still not in any way a replication of breastmilk, it simply cannot replicate it and that's not a problem as long as formula grows healthy babies. It doesn't change the facts on breastfeeding there's no need to get defensive about them because you just look butthurt and uneducated.
I will say one thing, I was never breastfed. I had extreme allergies as a kid until around the time I hit puberty, but now, I rarely have allergic reactions to anything and at most I might get sick once a year even when mixed with contagious people. I believe my immune system has been boosted by constantly having to fight off various things when I was younger. Currently working on a second college degree with a 3.0 GPA so not all formula fed infants turn out dumb. There is a balance between nature and nurture. Environmental factors, socioeconomic factors, food, drinks, it all plays a part in the end result. You can say that breast milk is healthier than formula, but not that it makes babies smarter
As someone in the medical field, I assure you the latest and most reputable research has shown extreme benefits from breastfeeding. Children who are breastfed tend to have higher IQs, have less allergies, are more socially adept (perhaps involving the role of oxytocin which has been implicated as deficient in autism spectrum disorders) and develop less infections. There is debate whether breastfeeding can help prevent certain cancers as well. As for the mothers, breastfeeding promotes bonding and is the number one best way to lost pregnancy weight.
you do know all milk is breast milk, right? just from other species ...
Almonds and coconuts have breasts? How did I never notice?
what you should be scared about is if it was all your mom's. .. °_°
got milk?
What's the big deal? It clearly didn't bother you back then and didn't cause you any harm. Maybe she just wanted to save a few bucks to buy you more toys.

She wanted to be breast friends with you
How did you find this out??
