Today, I found out my mom took around $2,500 from my savings account to pay off my sister's college tuition. She recently flunked out of her studies and won't be returning to college anyway. FML

Moral of the story: your mom shouldn't have access to your savings account.

Why does someone other than yourself have access to your bank account?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this is probably a savings account set up by your parents and it's not your real money to begin with

my grandma stole 5000 from my savings and didnt even tell me. I found out when I went to get some money she took ot all

This is exactly why I don't leave my cards or checks around my parents, or anyone for that matter. And no one knows my passwords to anything. When I got my first job I got a separate bank account from my parents and even at 20, don't tell them how much money I have because they think I owe them. You're obligated to so much, but you don't owe ANYONE everything you work for.

What ever happened to helping family out? ....Irrespective of the outcome. There's nothing I wouldn't give to my siblings... It's just money.

Definitely in the top 10 fmls. That seriously bites, dude.

Depends how old you are. If you're over 18 you should get it back no problem.

She shouldn't have access to your account.
