Think back to you high school graduation, but twice as long and even more boring because you don't recognize everyone.
i didnt know college was so expensive in the US >_>; way cheaper here.. and its still expensive o_o;
i have to say that is MESSED up. my parents, my my brother's gf, and my brothers flew 400 miles to come to mine in 90+ desert heat to watch me walk on stage for 20 seconds.. your family needs to get their freaking priorities straight. regardless of the money spent, they wont even come to their first kid graduate.. thats messed up parents
i dont know why everyone is whining about it being four hours. thats typical for college graduations when u have thousands of kids graduating at once. probably could be smarter to split em up like mine which the ceremony lasted 3 hours. so no biggie. apparently you family isnt willing to spare four hours when u had to endure it for 4 years
Awwe congratualtions!
That sucks. Be careful (and I hate to sound callous), but you're family might end up using you and your ability to achieve higher level finances than them. I have a friend who was the only one in her family to graduate from college, and her family uses her for everything. Congratulations though!!! That is an amazing achievement and I hope it takes you far!!!
if i had to sit through a 4 hour graduation i would make a post on fml about how i had to sit through a 4 hour graduation
That's why you're the first person in your family who's been to college.
60 grand is less than a year and a half for me, quit your bitching

You didn't spend 60k on the ceremony... you spent it on the education you got, and the diploma.
Guess you get a free ticket to not go to one of their weddings, funerals, etc...!
