Today, I found out that my girlfriend of five months is pregnant. Apparently, she stopped taking her pill two months ago because "we" wanted a baby. I don't recall ever having that discussion with her. FML

what a bitch, she wanted to trap you into a relationship by getting herself knocked up. jeez, this is EVERY guys worse fear, that their girlfriend would do this. that's why you gotta wrap it up man, even If it doesn't feel as good, or ***** like this will keep you from being with the girl you really want.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's probably not yours anyway.

Oh wow well ain't that a bitch

You should have used a condom. You can't trust women. I'm sorry for you, bro.

Yea, or if the woman got into an accident or some other thing happened to her or the baby while she was pregnant. Or if the baby had cancer (yes this is possible)... that doesn't even require something being wrong with the mother (I don't think) but may result in choosing abortion (though may not) because that would be difficult for the child to survive. Possible, but difficult and rare.

Yeah, FML ate my comment...again. I was just remaking the point about how a woman might not know she has a reproductive disorder before she gets pregnant. Also, there are cases where a pregnancy goes wrong for various reasons that might also require an abortion. There is also the case of rape, where it should also be an option. That kinda thing.

If you read it clearly, you'd know that she isn't 5 months pregnant, but that they have been dating for 5 months. She's actually stopped taking the pill 2 months ago.

take her to court, thats the only way to make sure u dont need to pay for the child.

Newguy, there is no legal way out of paying child support if it is proven that he fathered this child, which brings us back to my original argument: If you are not prepared to raise a child, or -- if this is more meaningful to you -- *pay for* the raising of a child, then you should not be having sex. Pregnancy is the goal of intercourse. Biologically, this is a fact. Everything about the design of the sex act is toward pregnancy. People who don't accept that are just choosing to ignore a fact of physiology. But let's say that pregnancy, rather than being the purpose of sex, is a side-effect, if you will, of the act of intercourse: Even as a side effect, whose likelihood of occurrence is greater than 10%, it's a gamble to do it when you are 100% sure you don't want to deal with that side effect. If you had a job and you knew that calling in sick, even once, carried a 2 in 10 chance of causing your pay to be cut in half for the next 18-20 years, would you call in? You would do everything you could to avoid that consequence, up to and including finding another way to make a living. It is unfortunate that this guy was dating either a very stupid or a very deceptive woman, but he's the one who made the choice to both date her and sleep with her. If she's a manipulator and a bitch, then it says a lot about him that he was with her for almost a half-year and didn't see it until now.

It takes two to Tango. Ever heard of condoms? You'd only been together 5 months, it would have been wise to use them anyway. Take some responsibility for your own actions.

Dude...dont complain, just make the best of it...daddy OP :)
